The discussions on this site are powered by mimetex, and accept most of latex commands.
If you are not familiar with them, we have provided LaTeX buttons for most of basic symbols.
Of course, don't forget the dollar signs when you write math formulas.
However, due to the differences between this program and actual TeX or LaTeX packages,
not everything is the same.
- Text formatting is not supported.
- The double dollar "$$" is not working. You don't really need it anyway!
- If you encounter troubles using some basic commands, check out the LaTeX buttons. If you
don't find a solution there, improvise! For example, arrays are not working, but you can still
write a matrix as "\(^{a\;b}_{c\;d}\)" etc.
Too complicated? We encourage you to continue your efforts, but if you lose your
patience, there is always the good old notepad notation. Troubles with mimetex are
not a good reason for you to give up from posting your solution or comment.
